Temporary visa:

International students can live study and work post completion of studies;

Basic eligibility

1. Be under 50 years of age
2. Possess an eligible visa
3. Possess a student visa in the last 6 months
4. Qualify in a CRICOS registered study
5. Nominate just one stream
6. Provide required evidence

There is provision for extended stay for some bachelor and higher degree studies of only 2 years in areas of skill shortages.

Graduate work stream:

For international students graduating with skills and qualifications in specific occupations in Australia. It allows visa holder to live study and work in Australia temporarily.

The period of stay for visa holders is 18 months temporarily extended to 24 months for visas granted after 1 December 2021.

Post studv work stream:

For international students who have graduated with an Australian degree. It allows visa holder to live work and study in Australia temporarily.

Permits visa holder to stay between 2 and 4 years depending on degree.

Special provision for Hong Kong and British national overseas passport holder 5 years stay.

Second post-study work stream:

For visa holders of Temporary graduate visa (first post study work stream or replacement stream) who graduated with an Australian degree from a regional area. It allows holder to study work and live in Australia temporarily.

Stay is between 1 and 2 years depending on regional location of studies that led to graduate temporary visa or regional area where you live as holder of temporary graduate visa is post study work stream or replacement stream.

Replacement stream:

For visa holders of temporary graduate visas who lost time on original visa due to covid restrictions. It allows one to work live and study in Australia temporarily.
